Self-esteem

I have so much to say on this subject: it’s the underlying issue of most clients who walk though my door, you see it in the shop, hear it on the phone and recently on my travels I have been coming across it  far more frequently than ever before. It seems that the whole planet is suffering from stress, leading to self doubt and yet more self doubt causes yet more self-esteem issues. Humanity is in crisis as we face a new paradigm. I have no doubt that the deep level cause is spiritual, we are evolving and letting go of the darkness to move more fully into the light is painful.

These are confusing times. The best answer I can come up with is love: self-love; loving each other and loving our planet. I am a great believer in starting with the simple steps.

So how do we do it?

Tip 1 – Treat yourself as you would treat someone you really cared for.

Think of someone you love and then treat yourself as you would them in that same situation. Imagine yourself going through your day as you would if your self-esteem was solid. This is one of the most well used MP3s from my book, I’ve put it here just for you 😊

Tip 2 – Breathe while thinking positive thoughts.

Tip 3 – Book something just for you

Anything from a massage to tuition in hand gliding, just time out for you!

Tip 4 – Say NO to something you really don’t want to do

Tip 5 – Say YES to something

YES – heard a great story not so long ago about a friend of a friend whose intention was to spend a holiday simply saying yes – only once to each thing but YES! My Mum did the same when she reached a certain age and my sisters, and I were living here and there – she said I will just say YES whenever I am asked – good philosophy. You don’t have to repeat it if you don’t like it but you shouldn’t know it until you’ve tried it either 😊

Tip 6 – Throw out something you don’t love.

The feeling of space and clarity is soooo rewarding.

Tip 7 – Spend time by the seaside.

Spending time near the ocean will make you calmer- Scientists have discovered that humans have something they call a “blue mind.” This means that our brains are hardwired to react positively to water. Watching the ocean, listening to the ocean, or being in the ocean, gives the brain a rest from over stimulation. Our brains do not shut down, they simply adjust how they are working, giving them a much needed break… Often followed by the release of the happiness chemicals–dopamine and serotonin.

Tip 8 – Listen to yourself!

Well no-one is ever going to feel good if you keep ignoring them!

Tip 9 – Walk in Nature and Hug a tree

Natural surroundings are incredibly healing  and while hugging, or lying on a tree you will receive a wave of energy as your vibrational pattern falls into a healing alignment, .and feel connected to earth and YOUR roots!

Tip – 10 Take some action every day toward accomplishing a goal. 

 There is always something you are aiming for, even just to make the dinner, stop all negative thoughts and just think – what do I need to do right now towards my goal

Sing, dance, draw, play….
