Indian Head Massage is a simple and effective form of therapy which has been popular in India for over a thousand years.
The head, neck and shoulders – all the energy centres where tension is most likely to accumulate – are gently, firmly and rhythmically massaged until the pressure begins to simply float away.
By stimulating scalp circulation, massage relaxes the scalp itself, tones up subcutaneous muscles relieving eyestrain, headaches and improving concentration.
Massage of the scalp, face, neck & shoulders, soothes, comforts and re balances energy flow to produce a feeling of peace and well-being, promoting improvement in hair texture and even helping to reduce hair loss.
Training in Indian Head Massage is simple and pleasurable given during a one day relaxing workshop. Training is open to individuals for personal use, to therapists for therapeutic use and to hairdressers and beauty therapists for use alongside their normal services or as part of a “delux” conditioning treatment or facial. The training is accredited, recognised and insurable worldwide by The International Practitioners of Holistic Medicine (IPHM) one of the largest internationally recognised and trusted independent accreditation boards for complementary and natural therapists and training providers worldwide. International Practitioners of Holistic Medicine have assessed the coursework or details/qualifications provided by the member and have agreed to approve their training methods or therapies depending on membership level requested.

There is a scholarship available every time I run this course, dedicated to my mother Muriel. Mum, born in 1931.
Mum became a vegetarian when she was in her 40s, discovered Deepak Chopra in his early days, went on to be a reiki master in 1994. She learned Indian Head Massage at the same time as I did in 2000.
She was a fabulous mother and model. During her fifties she gave therapy, healing and love to many at the Craigendarroch Country Club and any chance she got, even once she sadly was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s in 2014 she still wanted to share and give whenever she could. That continued after she lost Dad in 2019 and went into care – she wanted to massage and give reiki to her carers. That was Mum. So you can imagine how it broke my heart when due to the toxic family dynamic between myself and my sisters I was never able to arrange for Mum to receive back what she herself had given with so much love.
I know my Mum would love it if she understood what I can do – train YOU to pass on the love.
So here’s the deal. I train you absolutely free of charge, you give someone with dementia a minimum of 6 treatments and write about it or let me video your story to share with others the joy of giving.
