Vicki Rebecca has successfully been in private practice as a UKCP accredited psychotherapist, trainer, and supervisor since 1999, ran a successful retreat business since 2003 and is principal of the Rebecca Washington College of HypnoPsychotherapy. Vicki has an extensive background in health promotion, fitness training, yoga, and meditation practice as well as professional qualifications to trainer level in psychotherapy, advanced clinical hypnosis, and Neuro Linguistic Programming.
Before becoming a therapist, Vicki had a successful career as a photographic model in London. She returned her native Scotland, studied law, then psychotherapy and ran a personal fitness training business while bringing up her daughter, Jessica. Her personal journey from glamour model to successful therapist both inspires, instructs, and gives her the down to earth saltiness that her many clients relate to.
However, Vicki herself, does not believe for one second that it’s either her past, her qualifications, nor the fact that she has trained with the best, that make her a great therapist. That may have given the foundation but it’s the years of experience, willingness to stand in your shoes and the fact that she loves her work that made the difference. Her primary joy and primary genius IS helping people change and grow and it was from that ethos that she wrote her book: The Me I Want To Be: Simple Shifts To Authentic Wellbeing
Initially written from her experience with the clients and students whom she has worked with for over twenty years, she especially wrote it for those who could not manage come along for sessions or classes because of cost or distance. It had always been a source of frustration to her that she could not help them too. To make her work accessible to a larger audience she has written this book and recorded over ten hours of instruction and guided journeys to accompany it. Vicki continues to work in this way by creating webinars and the other online products you can find on this site.
YOU CAN CHANGE, THINGS CAN GET BETTER AND THE SHIFTS MAY BE SMALLER THAN YOU THINK!
The feedback from The Me I Want To Be, from the talks she’s given, the more informal chats she’s had with folks on retreat and the increidble spiritual path she treads as as part of daily life has led Vicki to write her memoirs.
“Vicki: No More Than A Story” is a time document ranging from 1956 to today. The true story of a young runaway who overcame, rape, made her way through gangster run Soho of the 1970s into a career as a page three girl and Monroe lookalike. A broken heart left her fluctuating between stardom, drugs and despair and when she hit rock bottom a spiritual experience changed her life.
Returning to her native Scotland 1987 she completed a law degree while on Methadone, moved into teaching fitness and immersed herself in various spiritual development systems, therapeutic and personal development approaches, culminating in qualifying as a psychotherapist. She married and had one daughter. Vicki currently lives alone hosting a passing community of guests and travellers, practicing as a psychotherapist and healer, she has written a book THE ME I WANT TO BE
